The town of Ennis

Ennis is the capital town of Co Clare. While the county is renowned for the rugged beauty of its breathtaking scenery, the town of Ennis enjoys a unique claim to fame for having streets and a labyrinth of laneways, considered amongst the narrowest of any town in Ireland.

The old-world layout of this busy market town has helped nurture a host of very individual retail outlets, making Ennis a fantastic town for shopping.

With a thriving farmer's market every Friday and a street market on Saturday's, there's a great buzz around the streets of this vibrant town.

There's a great choice of accommodation to choose from, and visitors can enjoy an excellent array of coffee shops and restaurants. There are also many old world bars, with 'snugs', characters, chat and live traditional music.
